Fundamentals of Big Data Analytic | Basics of Data Analytic and R

Analytics are basically of three types:
  1. Descriptive Analytic: What has happened? - Reports
  2. Predictive Analytic: Predicts outcomes of future
  3. Prescriptive Analytic: What/ Why/ When will happen? 
Let us learn about Predictive analytic. Predict future behavior of individuals which helps us to analyse future. To perform predictive analytics we need three basic things
  • Tool: Vehicle
  • Data: Passenger
  • Models: Route selection for Destination
Tools being used are SAS, MATLAB, R. 
We use variety of data (Google analytic). 
We will use machine learning based on logistic regression as models.

Introduction to Tool R:


R is statistical open source language used for business applications and data analysis. Further, data visualization, predictive analysis and forecasting are some other domains in which R is used.

R is easy to integrate SQL/ spreadsheet etc. It have good set of packages for basic functionalities required for applications. It is indeed very popular. To get started with R, simply download and install the R. Choose and download a user friendly GUI for the same.
